I am Lucille Vernege... I started off as a support worker caring for young people and people in the community in making a difference in their lives. Although I enjoyed what I did, I would also like to make a difference in the lives of people in the south of England. I have always wanted to say who I am through my food; therefore, I decided to work in bringing a taste of the Caribbean to Portsmouth. Here at Small Island Catering Ltd we hope to bring the flavours of the Caribbean in the many dishes that we prepare; from Rice and Peas, fried/Jerk chicken, fried/steam fish, vegetarian options and many more. I have a passion for cooking and I aim to make that passion shine through in each and every dish!

The name, "Small Island" was chosen to represent the Small Island of Portsmouth the small island of Dominica where I originate from.
